1. How can I ensure that the information I posted is secure & safe?

The Contract terms in our User Agreement set forth confidentiality of your information. You can also add additional confidentiality terms to your job, if needed you can get a Non-Disclosure Agreement signed by the engineer.

2. How do I change my password as a Business?

Go to Profile Management and change the password. In case if you forget your password please reset your password from the home page by providing username or email address that you registered with.

2. How should I reset my username and password?

  • You can’t change login username. Follow registration process below.
  • On landing page Click on SIGN UP icon located on header.
  • Click on ENGINEER icon and enter details on Sign Up pop window.
  • Login to the email account provided in Sign Up.
  • Notice that there is an automated email sent by FE system.
  • Notice that there is an automated email sent by FE system.
  • Open the email and click on confirmation link provided by the system to complete the registration.

3. How to retrieve my username?

  • On landing page Click on CONTACT icon located right top on header.
  • Find Contact number and call customer service to retrieve username.

4. Is multiple logins supported?

  • User can have multiple login Ids as long as unique data is maintained.

1. Can a job be saved as a draft and modified later for activation?

When you start to create a new job, our platform will automatically save the job to draft. You can always got back to editing and post it to marketplace.

2. Can I send a notification to all registered users upon creating a new Job?

Once the jobs are posted to marketplace, our platform will automatically send a push notification to all the engineer matching the profile, skillset and who reside within 100 miles of the posted site address.

3. How do I assign a job to an engineer?

Once you post the job to marketplace, all the engineers matching with the skillset and within 100 miles of the posted site address will get the notification. And in the workorder, under ‘Applicants’ tab you can see the engineers who have applied to your job. You can review and offer job to suitable engineer by clicking on ‘Offer Job’ button.

4. How do I assign the work to a right engineer?

The instant you post the job to marketplace, under ‘Recommended Engineers’ you will get suggestions of engineers whom you had saved to favorites after completion of your previous jobs that match to the job profile, skillset, better ratings and are within the 100 miles of the posted site address. From that list you can choose the suitable engineer and assign him the job offer.

5. How do I clone a job?

To clone a job: Go to ‘Dashboard’ from left menu and click on ‘Create a Job’ button present at top right corner of dashboard. Then you can select ‘Clone Past Job’ from the given options.

6. How do I create a new Job?

After you have registered, you need to add funds to your Field Engineer account in order to post a job to marketplace. To create a new job: Go to ‘Dashboard’ from left menu and click on ‘Create a Job’ button present at top right corner of dashboard. Then you can select ‘Create a new Job’ from the given options.

7. How do I delete an active job that I do not need to display on this website?

Field Engineer providers with a ‘Delete’ functionality by which you can delete the active job from marketplace. To do so, click on the ‘Delete’ icon present at the top of the workorder page in fieldengiener.com.

8. How do I put an active job on hold?

Field Engineer providers with a ‘Lock’ functionality by which you can put the active job on hold. Once you lock the job, engineer will not be able to make any changes i.e. checkout, request additional hours or message on the workorder. To do so, click on the ‘Lock’ icon present at the top of the workorder page in fieldengiener.com.

9. How do I know that the job has been completed successfully?

After the job has been assigned sit back & relax our state of the art platform gives you real time updates from the time an engineer leaves his/her home to your job site, check in and tasks completion. You can be in touch with them through our messaging platform.

10. How do I update a job that was already posted to marketplace?

You can make changes to the job only in below two scenarios:

  1. Active in marketplace but not Assigned – Once you post the job to marketplace and if it is not yet assigned to any engineer. Then you can edit the job. To do so, you will find the edit icon at the top of the workorder in fieldengineer.com.
  2. Assigned workorder: The other scenario when you can edit the job is after the job is assigned to engineer. But, you cannot make changes to pay, skills and address. To do so, you will find the edit icon at the top of the workorder in fieldengineer.com.

11. How do we protect your privacy?

  • Access to the system features / data will be granted based on user type, Job status and assignment.
  • Privacy agreement supported by Privacy Act.

12. What are forms W9 and 1099 and why do we need them?

These forms are required by the federal governments to accurately report the payments.

13. What is Field Engineers job cancellation policy?

Job can be cancelled by business with penalty. The penalty is depends on JOB STATUS, the details below illustrates the policy:

  • Job Status in ‘draft’ state> No penalty
  • Job Status in ‘Assigned’ state > No penalty
  • Job Status in ‘Accepted’ state > More than 24 Hours before the scheduled time – 5% from the Contract
  • Job Status in ‘Accepted’ state > Less than 24 Hours before the scheduled time – 15% from the Contract
  • Job Status in ‘IN-TRANSIT’ state > 25% from the Contract
  • Job Status in ‘CHECK-IN’ state > 35% from the Contract

Job Status in ‘COMPLETE’ state > No Cancellation (100% from the Contract)

1. How do I Pay to Engineers?

Pay your Engineers on per hour/Fixed Cost/Per device basis, whichever you choose. Once you posted a job the money from your account will be deducted (based on the maximum hours and rate) and held in an escrow account. After the engineer completes the work you can approve the hours and based on your approval the money will be transferred to the engineers account and remaining balance for the work will be transferred to your account.

2. What is the process for dispute and dispute resolution?

Most of the disputes can be resolved by contacting the Engineer/Business. In case of unresolved dispute raise a ticket in our Help center and one of our representative will get in touch with you to resolve disputes.

1. How do I register with Field Engineer Portal?

Follow these steps to register yourself at FieldEngineer.com

  1. Go to fieldengineer.com and click Business Sign-up.
  2. Fill up required details and click ‘Sign Up’.
  3. An activation code will be sent to your registered email. Enter back email and validation code and click ‘Verify’.
  4. The add funds to your FE account to post jobs to the marketplace.
