A CCIE Data Center (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center) professional is responsible for planning, design, implementation and management of the complex modern IT data center infrastructure. The certified expert will have a good understanding of the requirements of data centers and device configurations. The professional should have in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity, fabric infrastructure, storage networking, planning network services, automation, and orchestration.

The CCIE Data Center professional will analyze the evolving technologies and their impact on the architectural framework, deployment models, implementation, and operations. This certified expert must be well-versed with the fiber channel protocol and the SAN environment. They will implement LAN and SAN connectivity in the computing environment. It is the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center professional who is responsible for all computer server resources and management tasks. The professional must maintain and monitor high availability in a unified computing environment. They have to identify and resolve unified computing issues and maintenance tasks. The CCIE Data Center professional maintains the data center virtualization with the Cisco Nexus 1000V/implement security system. They should have a good understanding of the Fiber Channel protocol and the SAN environment.

Job Description

The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center job involves taking care of the routing protocols and features. The certified expert will identify and resolve any issues related to Layer 3 Overlay Protocols. The professional will manage the multicast protocols and monitoring services. The CCIE Data Center professional also designs the features of the data center networking system.

The CCIE Data Center professional oversees the system files and executes the NTP and PTP. This certified expert installs and verifies Cisco DCNM functionality. They will recognize the configurations and troubleshoot problems with the help of the command line. The professional should be able to rectify the Cisco Nexus problem by using SPAN, ERSPAN, Ethanalyzer, and NetFlow.

The Certified Expert is responsible for managing Data Center Virtualization with Cisco Nexus 1000V. The professional also maintains the execution of QoS, traffic flow, and IGMP snooping. The CCIE Data Center professional will evaluate and monitor the system events. They gather statistical information and handle external management protocols. It is the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center professional who implements the backups and restores procedures in a Cisco UCS environment.

The professional handles the configuration of server load-balancing algorithm and various SLB deployment modes. The Certified Expert takes care of the standard ACE features for load balancing. The CCIE Data Center professional will ensure that the LAN connectivity in a Cisco UCS environment. They will manage the Ethernet end-host mode, VLANs and port channels. The professional will have an in-depth knowledge of DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP inspection, IP source guard, and Port security. They will set up IP source guard, Cisco TrustSec, and RBAC groups. The Certified Expert will administer first-hop routing protocols, port channels, vPC, and vPC+. The professional will execute the implementation of NPV and NPIV features.

The CCIE Data Center Professional gather TAC-specific information. The professional will have a good understanding of Firmware management and also look into the server recovery tasks. They take care of the proper configuration of IP storage-based solutions.

Educational Qualifications
